Mid-Week Mini: Meet Taylor & Porter

We've rescheduled this photo shoot more times than I can count.  Between coordinating schedules, this crazy weather, and sick kiddos...we finally said, rain or shine we are doing this!  And the weather couldn't have been more perfect.  There is so much personality in this family (parents included in that statement) that a lot of the shoot was simply me following the two stars around and letting them run the show.  I was simply there to please :-) ... and it worked.  Some of my favorite shots were actually captured afterwards at a local cafe.  Just goes to show, the not-so-typical location, can be a welcome change to "norm".

Bluebonnet Bliss

 Springtime in Texas means Bluebonnet bliss.  I happened upon this field while driving with my sister for her maternity shoot.  After leaving I knew I had to take my own girls back (my beautiful nieces joined as well).  It's a tradition in many families...annual photos in the bluebonnets.

The trick is not missing the window.  It's a short time frame and once the first bloom appears it's something you have to take advantage of quickly or else the opportunity will be missed.  I had hoped to have a Spring Special in the bluebonnets but the weekends just seemed to fill with other obligations.

  This may have been our first year, but it won't be our last.

And I can't wait until next year, when we can do it all over again...and maybe even do it for several others!

 I was there from the beginning and have been lucky enough to be asked back for each special "chapter" of the love story between these two beautiful people.  They are a family close to my heart and I'm blessed to watch them grow, in love and in numbers!

The final chapter is complete.

And this is their happily ever after.
